Privacy Policy

Last updated August 1, 2026

Your interview answers and resume are personal. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over it.

01Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Vervia ("we," "us") collects when you use our AI-powered mock interview platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service well.

02Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your email address, used to sign you in via a one-time link and to contact you about the Service.
  • Resume and profile data — the resume you upload and the structured profile extracted from it, so we can tailor interviews to your background.
  • Interview data — your answers, transcripts, per-answer feedback, scores, and reports generated during sessions.
  • Public community content — comments, questions, replies, or other content you choose to post in public community areas.
  • Preferences — your interview settings, including difficulty, interviewer style, voice on/off, and your transcript-storage consent choice.
  • Usage and device data — basic analytics such as pages visited and actions taken, and standard technical data like browser type, used to keep the Service reliable and improve it.

03How we use your information

  • To operate the Service — authenticate you, run interviews, transcribe and score answers, and generate feedback and reports.
  • To personalize your experience — select relevant questions and tailor practice plans based on your resume and performance.
  • To maintain and improve the Service — diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and understand which features are useful. We may use aggregated or de-identified usage information to improve the Service. We do not use your resume, interview answers, transcripts, or reports to train public AI models.
  • To communicate with you — send sign-in links and important account or service notices.

04AI processing

To generate questions, follow-ups, transcriptions, scores, and reports, relevant parts of your content — such as your resume text and interview answers — are processed by AI model providers acting on our behalf. We share only what is needed for these features. We do not sell your data, and we do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models except as needed to provide the service to us.

05How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Vervia, under contracts that require them to protect it. These include:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and interview data.
  • AI model and speech providers — to generate feedback, scoring, and (if enabled) voice and transcription.
  • Payment processors — if you purchase a paid plan, payment information is processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Hosting and analytics providers — to serve the application and measure aggregate usage.
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vervia and its users.

06Public content

If you post in public community areas, that content may be visible to other users and visitors. Do not post private, confidential, or sensitive information in public areas.

07Transcript storage and retention

You choose whether we store your interview transcripts through the consent setting shown during onboarding. If you decline, transcripts are used to produce your feedback and report during the session but are not retained afterward.

We retain other information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or specific content, we delete or de-identify the associated data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Some deleted information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before being permanently deleted, unless we need to retain it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

08Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Update your interview preferences and transcript-storage consent at any time in settings.
  • Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing vervia.app@gmail.com.
  • Delete your account, which removes your associated interview data as described above.

09Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage.

If Google ads are shown on Vervia, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve ad quality. Third parties may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons as a result of ad serving on this site.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

10Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to promptly address any issues we discover.

11Children

Vervia is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
